Woolamai Beach Surf Lifesaving Club President Jason Close has described the season as "mixed and challenging". Alongside hundreds of patrol hours, the club ran two Surf Rescue Certificate courses and three Inflatable Rescue Boat crew and driver's courses, with over 40 life savers gaining qualifications to drive or crew rescue craft.
