The FIM Superbike World Championship got off to a great start for 2023 with the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit hosting the Australian Round of this international event over the weekend.

Crowd numbers were up on 2022, with attendance over three days estimated at 46,310. Sunshine and blue skies on Sunday saw Alvaro Bautista (Ducati) taking the chequered flag, in front of teammate Michael Ruben Rinaldi.
