The YES Youth Hub is hosting a youth art exhibition at Berninneit next month and is looking for exhibitors.

The exhibition is completely dedicated to art created by young people and entries are open until September 6.

The exhibition will run from September 20 - 25, and prizes will be awarded.

"We want to shine a spotlight on the creativity of young people in Bass Coast," said Erin Johnson from YES Youth Hub.

"We also want to take this opportunity to provide a platform for youth voices to be expressed in our community."

The YES Youth Hub, managed by the YMCA, successfully secured funding from the Victorian Government as a part of the Victorian Youth Fest and Bass Coast Shire Council is also supporting the exhibition.

Erin said YES Youth Hub staff are connecting with arts groups from across the shire and art teachers in local schools to ensure the event is a success.

Opening night on Friday September 20 will feature local young musicians.

"We hope that young people and the wider community visit the exhibition and that it will become an annual feature of the Bass Coast Art calendar."

If individuals or groups would like to offer support to the exhibition, please contact Erin Johnson: erin.johnson@ymca.org.au
