1 min read

Minister for Health Infrastructure Mary-Anne Thomas visited Cowes today (April 10) to inspect the progress of the new community hospital.

The government said the project will create up to 100 jobs during peak construction and 32,000 hours have already been worked on site.

Minister Thomas said the first stage of the new hospital will be an expanded Urgent Care Centre and is expected to open in early 2024.

The existing Urgent Care Centre will be transformed into dental treatment areas.

The hospital will also include day surgery, dialysis and chemotherapy, as well as a radiology precinct offering CT scans, ultrasound and general x-ray.
