1 min read

Cowes CWA recently presented 10-year Service Awards to Julie Pearce and Karen Graham.

Karen is the current President, in her second year and Julie promotes the Cowes branch through social media.

At the April meeting, the group also welcomed guest speaker Judi Pay.

Judi spoke of her previous life experience and transformative change when she arrived in Cowes.

Her website "We are Phillip Island" is a business and community directory which promotes and encourages us to shop locally.

It won the Online, Mobile and Home-based Business award and was a finalist in the Resilience category, in the 2023 Bass Coast Business Awards.

Members congratulated Judi on "overcoming significant challenges and her readiness to explore new experiences".

The CWA is an organisation of women supporting women, children and families right across Victoria.

It's a vibrant, volunteer philanthropic organisation with a focus on friendship, personal development and advocacy.

Members are encouraged to support each other, make a difference in their communities and advocate on community issues, sustainable development and the protection of the environment, and social issues.
