A notice has been erected on Chapel Street advising an existing site mobile phone tower will be upgraded to 5G.

Tech geeks will celebrate, while conspiracy theorists may not.

A notice has been erected on Chapel Street advising an existing site mobile phone tower will be upgraded to 5G.

The upgrade will see the removal of six panel antennas, to be replaced with three 5G panels, as well as three remote radio units.

Anyone wanting to make a submission can do so until November 26 through consultation@acquirecomm.com.au.

A statement from Australia’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Brendan Murphy, earlier this year said there was no evidence telecommunication technologies, such as 5G, caused adverse health impacts.

Telstra has also issued a notice advising there are no established health effects from 5G in relation to Coronavirus. 

“These claims have no basis in science, and they have been dismissed by both the Australian and global scientific and healthcare communities,” the organisation states.
