A Birding Outing for children on Phillip Island

A birding outing for children on Phillip Island

Children are in for a birdy treat in the coming school holidays.
Members of BirdLife Bass Coast are hoping that Covid restrictions allow children and parents to attend a special children’s bird observing session at Fishers Wetland on Wednesday, September 22 from 2pm– 4pm.

Children of all ages are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent.
No experience is necessary and binoculars will be available for those who do not have their own. Several members will have telescopes on hand for all to use and observe the water birds and bushland birds that can be seen in the area.

Please dress for the weather conditions. Wear closed toed shoes and a hat and apply sunscreen.
Bookings are essential. Please email basscoast@birdlife.org.au with your name, age, phone (if you have one), and an emergency contact name and phone.

Your booking will be confirmed by email, and BirdLife Bass Coast will send a reminder in the week before the outing. You will be notified if for any reason the outing is cancelled.
Please meet at the wetland carpark on Samuel Ames Drive, Newhaven. The car park is on the left hand side of the road before you get to the Churchill Island bridge.

Covid information: All covid-safe guidelines in place at the time of the outing will be followed.
