Newhaven Primary School loves Book Week at Newhaven Primary School.
This year the theme of magic resonated with all students and staff.
"It was great to see so many of our families dancing to the playlist as our students showed off their costumes," a school spokesperson said.
Art teacher Mrs Karen Allan was the MC for the parade. Student Art Leader Jack Wilson was a great support in helping Junior School Council to select the best decorated classroom door - a competition hotly contested between all the staff.
Judges Ben Mc Kenna, School Council President and Nada Johnstone, Library assistant had the difficult task of choosing the best costume in each grade.
"Nada keeps our library up to date and chooses the most glorious books for our students to borrow and our staff to use in their classrooms," said the school spokesperson.
"Thanks Nada. We love all the choices you make."
Next year the school plans to invite all parents to dress up and join the fun.
