A Walk for Bridgy
Help support those affected by Leukaemia, including Phillip Islander Ian Bridge.
Mad Cowes Cafe and LionessFit have teamed up to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation, organising an event on the George Bass Walk on February 28.
Kellie from LionessFit said they hoped to bring awareness to and help support those affected by Leukaemia, in support of Phillip Islander Ian Bridge.
We have named our fundraiser “A Walk for Bridgy”,” she said.
“Ian is currently fighting this terrible cancer but we are doing it for everyone who is, has or will go through this terrible disease.”
She said she hoped the walk would raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation and bring it to the attention of the community.
Already the community has rallied behind the walk and the team has raised over $4000, but they’re hoping that tally continues to grow between now and February 28.
