Bass Coast Shire has done an about-face on a proposal to green-light tourism on rural land, following community push-back.

There was community concern large tourism developments would impact services and infrastructure, especially roads and the transport network, particularly at Phillip Island bottlenecks, which resulted in significant changes to the final BURT policy.
