Local legend Beau Vernon hand cycled 100km around Newhaven, raising money to support people with spinal cord injuries.

Well done dad!! It was an amazing effort by Beau Vernon on Saturday, when he hand cycled 100 kilometres around Newhaven in just five hours, to raise funds for the Robert Rose Foundation. Beau was waved off by family and friends as he set out at 8am on Saturday morning and cheered across the finish line at the Newhaven Park at about 1pm. Waiting to congratulate him was his very proud family - wife Lucy, and the couple’s three children Layla (4), Joey (2) and Ollie (6 months).
