Big week on the field for junior Dogs - U14 Red
This week's U14 Red junior footy report.
With a real and most probable chance of finishing in the top four in a few weeks, the Red team is definitely feeling the finals excitement.
Sunday’s away trip to play an undermanned Dalyston provided some great opportunities to mix up positions and try some different challenges.
Some great highlights early were Charlie ‘leaping’ Fisher taking huge marks as normal in the forward line, Jack Edge leading and marking beautifully with a set shot goal and Gemma kicking truly also.
Mid game and Jai Larcombe kicked a goal after being rewarded for having his head over the ball.
Felix kicked a few in between setting them up, but the quarter mostly belonged to Jack Mascaros who ran amuck in a Dalyston jumper, tackling like a wrecking ball.
Dalyston got on the board with some combined great effort between their quick mids and a loaned Felix.
The day’s highlight was everyone celebrating madly Stewie’s mark, kick from 25m, and first goal of the season, well done Stewie.
