Book Launch – The Next Wave with Fiona Basile

Join photographer and author Fiona Basile at the Phillip Island Library for the launch of her latest book, The Next Wave.

This beautiful photographic book celebrates the vibrant and welcoming open water swimming community of Seaford, Victoria, highlighting the friendships, connection and wellbeing that have grown around a shared love of the ocean.

While centred on Seaford, the community includes swimmers from across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, with many local Phillip Island swimmers also taking part.

Fiona, who has swum with several Phillip Island open water swimming groups, says the book is a celebration of community, connection and the joy of open water swimming.

Whether you're an avid swimmer, photography enthusiast or simply enjoy inspiring local stories, this is a wonderful opportunity to hear Fiona share the story behind The Next Wave.
