Growing Cambodia will hold its 10th Annual Trivia Night on Phillip Island on Saturday October 10, bringing the community together for an evening of trivia, laughter and fundraising in support of education in rural Cambodia.

The theme of this year's event is "Opportunities".

"At Growing Cambodia, we offer children an opportunity to learn English, an opportunity to continue their education and an opportunity to build a brighter future," Growing Cambodia's Steve Davie said.

"Every person who attends the Trivia Night or purchases a raffle ticket helps us provide more of these opportunities."

Over the past 14 years, the Phillip Island community has played an important part in Growing Cambodia's work. Today, more than 900 students continue to learn English through its programs.

Growing Cambodia has also supported 21 students who have graduated from university and found employment, while another 24 students are currently studying at universities across Cambodia.

This year's fundraising will include a Major Raffle, with prizes generously donated by members of the community. First prize is seven nights' accommodation for up to four people at Sand Dunes Resort on the Sunshine Coast, valued at $1650.

Other prizes include $1000 in gift vouchers and an assortment of wine valued at $750.

Growing Cambodia is also delighted to welcome doTERRA Healing Hands as the event's first major sponsor and greatly appreciates its generous support.

"The island community has supported Growing Cambodia since we began in 2012," Steve said.

"The Trivia Night is our opportunity to update our supporters, thank them for everything they have helped us achieve and, most importantly, enjoy a wonderful night together."

Growing Cambodia's Annual Trivia Night will be held at Berninneit, 91-97 Thompson Avenue, Cowes, from 6pm on Saturday October 10.

Tickets are $50 per person, with tables of 10 available. Guests may bring their own nibbles and soft drinks, with other drinks available for purchase at bar prices.
