A Gathering for Gaza, organised by Phillip Island 4 Palestine was held on May 18, on the Cowes foreshore.
A Gathering for Gaza, organised by the group Phillip Island 4 Palestine was held on May 18, to advocate for a liberated Palestine and an end to the current conflict happening in the Middle East.
Phillip Island 4 Palestine is led by students from Bass Coast and aims to take peaceful community-based actions and create safe spaces for everyone to learn about Palestine, the current conflict, and how small communities like ours can be a part of the movement for peace.
The gathering was attended by over 40 people from all over Bass Coast.
Local 16-year-old student organiser from Newhaven College, Gabriel Di Falco said it was fantastic to be a part of the event, "with so many passionate people coming together for the Palestinian cause.
It’s such an important cause, I’m looking forward to future actions.”
