Churchill Island’s Shearing Shed will provide an intimate setting to snuggle up and embark on a musical journey from the classics through to some stage show favourites at the inaugural Candlelight Classics on Saturday, July 24.

Well-known local vocalist and performer Tom Green has gathered a talented group of musicians to form the bespoke Candlelight Quartet – a beautiful mix of classical guitar, violin, piano and soaring vocals.

Tom is a professional classical/musical theatre crossover vocalist and performer who has performed regularly in Melbourne and Sydney in a range of lead roles in musicals, as well as singing on international television.

Chloe Wylie has been learning the classical guitar for 15 years, and has performed in state and regional ensembles, as well as Masterclasses for significant guitar personalities such as Slava Grigorian, Yamandu Costa, and Elodie Bounty.

Matthew Lim is a classically trained violinist who began learning at the age of nine, and studied under David Lau, Ben Singh and Fintan Murphy. He loves the way music can sweep people away to a universe of inspiration and possibilities

Stephen Marino is a versatile pianist, chorister and accompanist, and has worked with The Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir and Melbourne University Choral Society, Box Hill Chorale, The Voices of Casey and The Choir of Opportunity.

The Candlelight Quartet will perform for around 90 minutes, with doors opening early to allow time to meet friends and enjoy a pre-concert beverage.

Tickets are limited to ensure COVID safety, and must be pre-purchased. A rug and seat cushion are included in the ticket price to ward off those winter chills. Beverages and after dinner snacks are also available for pre order.
