CFA out and about for Good Friday Appeal
Good Friday Appeal collectors like CFA and SES volunteers Julian Glynn, Bri Reid, Gary Grace and Rhyce Davis, will be walking the streets in Cowes this year, collecting donations.

The annual CFA Good Friday Appeal fundraising in Cowes will see local CFA volunteers in full view.

The Good Friday Appeal raises funds to enable The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne to provide world class care to children.

While roadside tin rattling is no longer permitted – after a statewide decision only to issue permits for the traditional fundraiser at intersections with traffic lights – there will be tin rattlers along the main street.

Phillip Island Fire Brigade members will be located at IGA in Cowes (at the intersection of Settlement Road and Thompson Avenue) throughout the day, with other teams conducting roaming "tin rattles" along Thompson Avenue.

Other crew members will be on board fire trucks visiting all the local caravan parks and the Lifestyle Community, accepting donations from residents and visitors.

Plus there will be a vehicle at Erehwon Point throughout the day, so there are plenty of opportunities to donate to this important cause.

There will also be loads of fun activities on the lawn at the front of Berninneit (91-97 Thompson Avenue) as part of the Good Friday on the Lawn fundraiser (see separate story).

On Friday, April 3, dedicated members of the Phillip Island Fire Brigade will be collecting money for the Good Friday Appeal in Cowes, at local caravan parks, Thompson Avenue and Erehwon Point.
