A four-storey, $12 million hotel in Cowes’ main street has narrowly been approved by Bass Coast Shire councillors.

Council has approved the redesign for 85 Thompson Avenue, next to the Cultural Centre, which is now four-storeys with a roof terrace and still 17.1 metres high at the peak – above the shire’s preferred 11 metres – with a waiver of 29 car spaces.
