Covid Positive Pathways under new management

The Gippsland Covid Positive Pathways (Gippsland CPP) program will soon be managed by Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH).

The transfer of management from the Gippsland Region Public Health Unit (GRPHU) is expected to be complete this week.

The Covid Positive Pathways program is the Victorian state-wide program for assessment and management of COVID-19 patients. It provides clinical care, monitoring and support for all people who test positive for COVID-19 in the Gippsland region and ensures clients who are at risk of deteriorating are identified early and transitioned to higher levels of care.

Public hospitals, primary and community health care providers, Primary Health Networks and GPs will continue to offer pathways for Covid positive people. However, operationally, the program will be managed by Latrobe Regional Hospital in the Home (LRH HITH) with strategic leadership support from local health services.

GRPHU Operations Director, Annelies Titulaer, said the unit was working hard to ensure a smooth transition that would broaden the GRPHU’s capabilities to undertake further work in the public health space.
