Cricket Umpires wanted

If you are interested in cricket there is an opportunity to join the local LDCA Cricket Umpires Panel.

Most cricket is played on Saturday afternoon starting at 1pm and finishing at approximately 5.30pm in three Divisions A, B and C.

There are also some Sunday Gippsland games played within the LDCA seniors, juniors and girls competition and some school games.

Our numbers have been affected over the Covid years and with retirements and people moving away from the area there is an opportunity to earn up to $180 a Saturday umpiring.

We have very few issues in local cricket with players looking after the local cricket, and the association management strong on behaviour issues, you can have the best seat in the house umpiring.

If interested, we are holding a meeting at Leongatha Town rooms (Horn Street Leongatha back of School) Tuesday night at 7pm to register online and give umpires a chance to enrol in various courses online to update their levels.
