CWA Christmas Pop Up Shop

With Christmas fast approaching, the Country Women Association (CWA) members across the CWA Bass Group are busy cooking up a storm to stock a Christmas pop up shop.

The shop will be set up outside the Cowes CWA headquarters in Thompson Avenue, on December 12.

There are six clubs in the district which make up the Bass Group and 39 CWA Groups across the state.

All will establish similar Christmas pop up shops this year stocking Christmas cakes, puddings, shortbread and gingerbread; made uniformly to the same CWA recipes.

CWA members have long been feted as the best cooks in the state, and orders can be placed in advance to make sure no-one misses out.The state-wide initiative replaces the Christmas Fair held annually at CWA’s Lansell Road Toorak headquarters.

The Fair is a major fundraiser which supports the Association’s work in assisting women, families and children across Australia, but had to be cancelled this year because of Covid regulations.
Christmas cakes and puddings come in two sizes. Cakes (15cm) $30. Plum puddings (1kg) $30 or (2kg) $60.

Shortbread and gingerbread are also available.

To order call Sally Matthews on 0409 521 825 or Rosie on 0409 792 245.
