Dance and theatre workshops

A series of workshops next month offer an extraordinary chance for local dance and music theatre students and enthusiasts to work with one of Australia’s leading male performers.

Rohan Browne has over 25 years’ experience and appeared in nearly 30 professional musical theatre productions around the world – including lead roles in Boy from Oz, Singin’ in the Rain and Brigadoon – and he is coming to Phillip Island on September 10, to share his knowledge and expertise.

The Theatre House is presenting Rohan in a series of dance workshops at The Nobbies, as well as a Q&A session, providing a thrilling opportunity for anyone with a passion for dance, acting and performing.

Session times: Broadway Tap 11am – 12.15pm; Broadway Jazz 12.30pm – 1.45pm. Acting for Stage 2.15pm – 3.15pm and Q&A 3.15 – 4pm.

Day pass $100. Individual classes $30. Bookings are essential.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes (eg dance), ballet shoes are recommended, tap shoes recommended in the tap dancing workshop. If staying for the whole day, BYO lunch or a snack bar is located in the venue.
