Dine out for refugees

The annual Dine out for Refugees dinner returns to the Rhyll Mechanics Institute Hall on September 12.

Hosted by the Phillip Island group Rural Australians for Refugees (RAR) the dinner starts at 6.30pm at the hall in Loch Road.

The dinner promises to be a great night of fun, friendship, feasting and music and will raise money for refugee support.

Guests will hear from Women for Change, an organisation that supports teachers in Afghanistan to secretly provide education to women and girls.

The Taliban government has banned education beyond Grade 6 for girls.

There will be delicious food and great music from Marty Box.

There will also be artwork from Linda Yeates, Creative Sanctuary Communal Painting, and a Phillip Island alpaca hand knitted scarf as part of the special fundraising effort on the night.

Come with family and friends, make up a table and have a great night.

Tickets are $43 and BYO drinks. Book at www.trybooking.com/DOMQH
