A triple dose of local talent
1 min read

A triple bill of local talent hits the stage at the Westernport Hotel on March 23.

Two local powerhouses, Ozone Street and Nick Carver & the Mean Street Butchers, unite for an epic night of entertainment.

Kicking off the evening will be The Dropkicks, local teenage sensations, whose youthful enthusiasm will set the stage on fire.

The band recently performed at NYE on the Hill after winning an online vote.

Featuring Esta Christensen – guitar and backing vocals, Liam Fuery – drums, Dean Lyle – lead vocals and Callan Spencer – bass/songwriter, the high school students have been playing together for over 12 months.

Describing their sound as "mostly rock with a mish-mash of a few different things", their influences range from The Fratellis to the Arctic Monkeys, which usually feature on the set list, along with a few crowd pleasers like the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

They also write their own material and recently recorded a track mixed by local musician Maddy May.

Ozone Street might look young, but they have old musical souls.

Comprised of a dynamic group of 20-somethings, Ozone Street brings a refreshing blend of vintage blues and surf-inspired melodies that transport audiences to sun-soaked shores and dimly lit blues bars.

With a hefty injection of funk and soul, you'd better have your boogie shoes on for these boys.

Nick Carver & the Mean Street Butchers promise a raw, intense experience with their blend of sideways rock and psychedelic blues, inspired by legends like Queens of the Stone Age and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The band released their debut album "The River" in 2018, following up in 2022 with their second album "Animals".

Last year's single "Smoke Alone", was hailed by critics for capturing the "raw intensity" of the band's live performances. On March 23 you can judge that for yourself.

Gather your crew and prepare for a night of hot band-on-band action!

Just $20 will see you treated to a fantastic array of local talent.
