As part of Family History Month, the Myli librarians and the Phillip Island and District Genealogical Society (PIADGS) have joined forces to present a special event.

On Tuesday August 26 at 2pm they're hosting "Starting a Family History Journey", an afternoon of discovery at the Phillip Island Library in Cowes.

Whether you're just beginning or building on your research, you'll explore free library resources to help unlock your family's story and learn how PIADGS can guide and support you along the way.

Family tree templates and other information will be explained and distributed during a digital presentation on procedures and the resources available from both groups.

There will be time for questions and the session will be followed by refreshments. This is the perfect first step on your genealogy journey.

The session is free, but bookings are essential at: myli.au/pi2608 or call the library on 03 5952 2842.
