Families celebrate at Oz Day
Around 600 people attended this year's Oz Day at the Daly, enjoying the relaxed, family-friendly event.
All up around 600 people attended Oz Day at the Daly this year.
The family-friendly credentials of the event were evident, with children making up more than half the crowd.
"It was a great family day with heaps of stuff for kids to do and plenty of room to do it," said organisers.
"Parents and kids were entertained by some really good bands and the oldies could have a quiet drink in the very relaxed picnic atmosphere."
The tug of war contest was again a winner particularly with the kids who spent hours afterwards playing with the rope.

"In the lead up to the fireworks some kids were invited up on stage and they had a ball," organisers said.
"The fireworks were again the real highlight and comments were unanimous about the quality of the display.
"As has been the case since the event began it has been a great day for everyone involved.
"The Dalyston Football Netball Club are extremely grateful to the National Australia Day Committee for its support and that of the volunteers including the Dalyston CFA who helped out on the day."
