It was another successful month of cruise ship visits, with three ships visiting the island in February.
This followed the visit of the largest ship of the cruise season, The Grand Princess which visited on January 28, carrying 2692 passengers and 1059 crew.
February saw the arrival of the Viking Sky, Viking Neptune and Seabourn Odyssey within six days, carrying a total of 2290 passengers and 1372 crew.
Across the three ships, passengers disembarked and enjoyed 1932 pre-booked tours of the area.
Despite arriving during a blackout on February 14, passengers from the Viking Neptune disembarked and took shuttle buses from Rhyll into Cowes, where they were welcomed by community volunteers and staff from the Visitor Information Centre.
“Visitors explored the area by foot or by bike, visited the Koala Conservation Centre and supported the businesses in Cowes that were able to operate that day,” a spokesperson for Destination Phillip Island said.
There is one more cruise ship scheduled to arrive at Phillip Island this season.
The Pacific Adventure is expected on Saturday April 27, and can hold 2636 passengers and 1100 crew.
