Council is investigating the cause of a fire at Berninneit on December 30.
Bass Coast Shire Council is investigating the cause of a fire at Berninneit on December 30.
The fire occurred at 8.38pm with fire trucks attending the scene.
According to a council spokesperson, there was some minor damage but nothing that prevented the building “from operating as normal”.
Phillip Island Fire Brigade said four appliances attended the fire – three from Phillip Island and one from San Remo.
The cause was a pump which overheated in the plant room. A spokesperson for the brigade said there was no damage to the structure.
