The team at the San Remo Food Pantry celebrated its first anniversary last week.

The occasion was marked by cupcakes made by supporters of the St Augustine's Op Shop, where the food pantry is situated.

Hikes in the cost of living can place any of us in food insecurity and those working at the pantry each week are pleased it's being well used.

The kind people who place grocery items in the donations trolley at San Remo IGA can rest assured their generosity is providing assistance to local people.

Beachside Bakery, the Phillip Island Bass Coast Dog Lovers Association, residents at the Cowes Lifestyle Village and IGA are regular supporters and have been presented with certificates of thanks.

The pantry is open every Wednesday between 10am and 1.30pm. All are welcome, no questions asked.
