Genesta Guest House was owned by Stanley Kennon. His father, a master mason, built the first Prine's Bridge across the Yarra in Melbourne. The imposing residence stood in what is now Genesta Street in Cowes and had a beautiful bay view. The beautiful old home burned down in 1936.
