Love decorating your home or business for Christmas?

Council is urging every home and business to be part of Bass Coast’s Christmas Display Competition 2020.

Decorate your home or business and you could win one of six hampers full of local goodies.

This competition aims to spread a bit of Christmas joy, after what has been a challenging year. Council said all prizes and other material needed for the competition have been sourced locally, to support our local businesses and community.

Business

Each business located in Bass Coast can enter the competition and upload the best photo of their Christmas display via the entry form on the council website.

The public will then have the chance to vote on their favourite display. A winner will be named in each of the three wards and receive a hamper full of Bass Coast produce.

The Island Ward winner will receive an extra prize sponsored by Phillip Island Business Network.

Business entries close on December 6. Voting will run from December 10 to 17.

Home displays

Every house in Bass Coast is eligible to enter, by simply loading a photo of their display on the council website.

A winner from each ward will receive a hamper of Bass Coast produce.

Entries must be received before Sunday, December 13. The entries will be judged by Bass Coast Shire councillors, with the winners announced during Christmas week (from December 21).

As always, safety first. Please visit the Energy Safe Victoria's page on 'Christmas light safety' for tips to ensure your Christmas doesn't end in disaster.

Full details of the competition, including entry forms and frequently asked questions are available on the Bass Coast Shire Council website.
