Girls come ‘n’ try cricket clinics
Charith and Chamari Keerthisinghe are running a Come’n’Try girls cricket clinic on Tuesday, December 14 from 4.30pm -5.30pm.

Come ‘n try clinics for girls cricket running throughout December.

With the record-breaking Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) having just been completed, there are more girls than ever interested in learning and enjoying cricket and there are opportunities available for Phillip Island Girls to play in planned LDCA Girl’s competition.

In the lead-up to Christmas the head coach and outstanding representative player, Charith Keerthisinghe, has already held a series of clinics for girls at Cowes.

Together with his wife, Chamari, the girls are introduced to the skills of the game in a safe, caring, and enjoyable environment.

The response has already been very encouraging.

Emma Gallagher (Cricket Victoria’s South-East Cricket Manager) is eager to support the growth of women’s cricket and says the whole community can benefit from getting girls involved in cricket.

Emma has encouraged Charith to continue to ensure that the girls are able to connect with their friends, as they learn the fundamentals of cricket, but more importantly have a good time.

Charith and his wife will lead a Come’n’Try clinic on Tuesday, December14 from 4.30pm -5.30pm.

The goal is to have Phillip Island girls’ teams playing in matches for an upcoming girl’s competition with the other Leongatha District Cricket Association clubs in the New Year.

Interested girls and parents are most welcome at the clinics.

For further information, ring Charith on 0469 034 868.
