Hey kids – the NGV comes to Cowes this summer

Get ready to party when NGV Kids on Tour comes to Berninneit in Cowes these school holidays.

There are two special events and although both are free, registration is required.

On January 14 at 10am, enjoy a special story time session of the NGV publication “My Nature Book with Olaf Breuning”.

This session brings the forest to life through song, movement and imagination. Young children can participate by acting out new words on each page.

Before long, everyone will be singing like birds, crawling like bugs and buzzing like bees.

The story time lasts for about 30 minutes and is suited for children up to three years of age.

Workshop

On Wednesday January 21 the NGV Kids Tour returns with “Nature and Us with Olaf Breuning: collaborative art workshop”.

Participants are invited to explore the wonders of the natural world through a series of guided drawing activities.

Developed as part of the Swiss contemporary artist’s collaboration with the NGV for the 2025 exhibition “Plans for the Planet: Olaf Breuning for Kids”, these activities encourage kids to discover the creatures that call the forest home, from birds and insects to woodland animals.

The session runs for about four hours, beginning at 10am. Participants can drop in and drop out at any time. Recommended for children aged three to 11 years.
