About 80 motorbikes roared into town on the weekend as part of the first Phillip Island Toy Run.

Cowes parents Sam and Jason Hampstead – who run Dead4Eva in Cowes – organised the run, which saw a cavalcade of motorbikes depart their Thompson Avenue store at 9.30am on Saturday, travel to Tooradin, before heading back to deliver the toys to the Phillip Island Baptist Church.

The gifts have been generously donated to help local families, and parents needing assistance were encouraged to apply for vouchers through schools, the Early Learning Centre, kinders and Dead4Eva, which allowed one toy per child.

The toys are being distributed this week.
