Island Seniors hits back to claim hard-fought win
With the match on the line, Phillip Island needed to respond – and they did.

Phillip Island’s Senior side produced a strong final-quarter response to overcome Cora Lynn and record an important eight-point victory.
The Island started with a bang, making the most of their opportunities in the opening term to kick 4.2 and take a 19-point lead into quarter time.
Cora Lynn responded strongly in the second quarter, lifting their pressure and working their way back into the contest.
While Phillip Island managed just three behinds for the term, Cora Lynn added three goals to cut the margin to only three points at the main break.
The momentum remained with Cora Lynn after half time.
They kicked another three goals in the third quarter while holding the Island to just one, turning the game around to take an eight-point advantage into the final change.
With the match on the line, Phillip Island needed to respond – and they did.
The Island lifted their intensity in the final term and began to regain control of the contest.
While accuracy made things difficult, with 2.6 kicked for the quarter, their pressure at the other end restricted Cora Lynn to just two behinds.
It allowed Phillip Island to wrestle back the lead and finish strongly, turning an eight point three-quarter-time deficit into an eight-point victory.
The match was also a memorable one for Harrison Cramer,
who made his senior debut for Phillip Island.
