The Reds were back at home this week to take on Inverloch-Kongwak in cold but dry conditions.

We hit the ground running in the first quarter and scored quickly via a great goal from speedster Flynn Riley.

Callum Chambers was once again dominant in the ruck and across the ground, attacking fiercely and showing great craft with perfect tap outs to our advantage.

Jaxen Marshall provided straight line run out of our defensive half and linked up with our wings through skilful kicking.

The ball spent the majority of time in our forward line and Archie Robinson capitalised with a great goal before quarter time.

The second quarter had us on the attack again as we kicked a quick goal and applied scoreboard pressure.

Flynn Doig was under every pack and shovelled handballs out to our running players as we continued to attack the Inverloch-Kongwak defence.

The intensity went up a notch and became an arm wrestle as we tackled and ran hard to provide options.

Zane Larsson notched up another good game and collected possessions across the ground.

Aiden Smith took charge in the third quarter, running straight lines and attacking the football every chance he got, even throwing in a blind turn 360 for good measure.

IK turned up the heat and started peppering the goals from the outset of the third quarter as our backline tried desperately to defend.

Three goals to the opposition set the scene for the final term.

The fourth quarter was played in a pressure cooker and there was no time to consider options before being tackled.

Kolby Carton did not stop running as he dominated across the centre and repeatedly launched us into attack.

In what was a tense final five minutes, we had every chance to win the game, but the ball would just not bounce our way.

The Reds never give up and we are all very proud of the attitude they displayed, fighting on right to the end.

Goals – Archie Robinson (2), Flynn Riley (1).

Best – Archie Robinson, Jaxen Marshall, Denver Preddice Firth, Zane Larsson, Callum Chamber and Kolby Carton.
