UPDATE: JUNE 4 - Bass Coast Health has advised the Vaccination Clinic at Wonthaggi Town Hall is now fully booked through until Monday and as a result, it will not be accepting walk-ins again until Tuesday, June 8.

People aged over 50 are eligible to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine, while people aged 40 - 49 are now eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.

Anyone wanting to be vaccinated in Bass Coast has several options.

Vaccination clinic at the Wonthaggi Town Hall

Run by Bass Coast Health, bookings can be made by calling 1800 675 398.

Due to high demand, the clinic is currently not accepting walk ins and has advised it is fully booked for the rest of this week.

"Unfortunately we cannot accommodate walk ins for the next three days, from Thursday to Sunday," a post on the BCH Facebook page said.

For the rest of this week, it will be offering vaccinations (first or second shots) for Disability, Aged Care and Healthcare workers.

The clinic is open 9am -4pm on Thursday and Friday and 8.30am - 1pm on Saturday.

Currently, BCH is also offering a booking service at the clinic, so while it will not accept walk ins, anyone showing up without an appointment will be able to book in for another day.

You must bring proof of ID and your Medicare card to your appointment.

The following clinics are taking bookings for vaccinations, but according the the Federal government website (covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au) most are booked out for the next seven days. All accept online bookings, except where otherwise indicated.

  • Cowes Medical Centre / Grandview Medical Clinic

Check your vaccine eligibility and find the nearest vaccination clinic at covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au.
