Landowners on notice over tree lop ban
Last year a Cowes resident razed every tree on their land, arguing they posed a bushfire risk. The felled trees included an historic Norfolk Island pine, which was more than a century old, planted when the land was home to an historic guesthouse. The contractor described the tree as a weed, to a neighbour who objected to the tree being felled.
