There is a week remaining in the public consultation on the proposed renewable energy area off Gippsland announced by the Hon Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Climate Change and Energy in early August.
The government is seeking feedback on the proposal and how offshore renewable energy projects could share the area with other users and interests. Feedback received during the consultation will help inform the Minister’s decision on whether the proposed area is suitable for offshore renewable energy.
Feedback must be made as an online submission through the Consultation Hub. Submissions close at 11.59pm on October 7.
A number of supporting documents are available, providing additional information on the background of the offshore renewable energy consultation and declaration process as well as the Gippsland area.
