Guilio Marcolongo's woodturning is part of PICES Contempora 2 exhibition, on show at Berninneit Art Gallery until February 1, with a special closing night event from 5.30pm to 7.3pm.

We're counting down now to the final days of the PICES Contempora 2 exhibition at Berninneit Art Gallery.

This is the final exhibition of three put together by PICES, featuring and diverse and impressive array of artists from Bass Coast and surrounds.

Contempora 2 features a dynamic collection of works across painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media

The exhibition finished on February 1, with a special closing event from 5.3opm - 7.30pm, and everyone is invited to attend.

The evening will celebrate the artists, volunteers, supporters and sponsors who have contributed to the success of the 2025–26 Summer Exhibitions.

A highlight of the evening will be the draw of the annual raffle, proudly supported by San Remo and Cowes Community Bendigo Bank, offering attendees the chance to win a range of wonderful prizes while supporting PICES’ ongoing community arts programs.

PICES President Sandra Peeters acknowledges the dedication and generosity of the exhibiting artists, whose creativity, professionalism and willingness to share their expertise continue to strengthen the local arts landscape.

“Our artists not only produce exceptional work, they also contribute to education, mentorship and community connection, enriching our region culturally and creatively,” she said.

The final weekend presents a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors alike to experience the exhibition one last time, support local artists, purchase raffle tickets, and celebrate the spirit of creativity that continues to thrive within the Bass Coast community.

Contempora 2 is showing at Berninneit Art Gallery, Cowes, until Sunday 1 February.
