There will be interrupted daytime access to the Penguin Parade car park, boardwalks and Summerland Beach on Monday October 13 and Thursday October 16 between 7am and 4.30pm due to planned works on the boardwalk redevelopment. A helicopter will be operating in the area during this period.
There will be interrupted daytime access to the Penguin Parade car park, boardwalks and Summerland Beach on Monday October 13 and Thursday October 16 between 7am and 4.30pm due to planned works on the boardwalk redevelopment. Please follow the directions of staff who will be on site.
A helicopter will be operating in the area during this period to lift materials into place with all works overseen by qualified wildlife officers and guided by sensitive methodology to ensure the surrounding wildlife and habitat is protected.
The Penguin Parade Visitor Centre will be open to the public from 5pm. There is no impact on the nightly Penguin Parade.
Public amenities on Summerland Peninsula are available at Shellys Beach and Flynns Beach.
Visitors can still access other Nature Parks attractions including the Koala Conservation Reserve (10am-5.30pm) and Churchill Island (10am-5pm).
Please note, the Nobbies Centre, cafe, toilets, car park and boardwalks are closed.
