Outspoken Federal senator Jacqui Lambie – in Newhaven today - has vowed to fight for a new National Vietnam Veterans Museum, after the redevelopment was rejected last month by VCAT.
The Senator visited the museum, saying she’ll be “kissing the backside” of the Prime Minister and Federal Veterans’ Affairs Minister in order to get funding for a new museum.
Senator Lambie said a potential solution was to rezone the site for the proposed new museum, on Churchill Drive, to accommodate the redevelopment.
More details in next week’s paper.
