Phillip Island's Imogen Price is one of three live music acts performing at this year's Oz Day at the Daly.

Now in its sixth year Oz Day at the Daly will continue its tradition of showcasing local talent with the addition of the Knuckleheads to the line-up.

The Knuckleheads are a four-piece Wonthaggi band who started playing together in 2022 before having an 18-month break.

They recently got together again and are back enthusiastically doing gigs around the district.

Consisting of Steve Alexander on drums, BJ Wylie on bass guitar, Leigh De Munk on lead guitar and Jason Mottershead on vocals and guitar they play late 90s and 2000s rock and love to engage their audience.

Old rockers never stop and the 820 Door Jambs return to play their wide range of rock from across the ages. They put on a great show at the 2024 event and are looking forward once again to bringing the Australia Day crowd to life.

Bass Coast has produced a wealth of local talent over the years and the very popular young singer/songwriter and guitarist Imogen Price from Phillip Island will kick off the musical entertainment at 5pm.

Together the three musical acts will provide four hours of musical entertainment catering for a wide range of musical tastes.

Local production company Production Corp together with Bass Coast Sound and Video have again been engaged to provide a first class sound, light and video operation.

The day is all about family fun and while there will be carnival rides and face painting, there will also be plenty of games and activities and the very popular tug of war.

A balloon artist and bubble maker will also help keep the littlies occupied.

The atmosphere is relaxed and though some seating and tables are provided, people are advised to bring their own chairs or picnic rugs.

Activities continue into the evening with the highlight being the fireworks finale at 9.30pm. The quality of the fireworks displays has always been amazing and Fitzpatrick's Fireworks are again expected to put on another great show.

Local residents are reminded to make sure they secure pets and animals that may become distressed by the fireworks.

Oz Day at the Daly is a ticketed family friendly event held at the Dalyston Recreation Reserve on Australia Day.

Catered for by the Dalyston Football Netball Club, gates open at 4pm with all activities ending after the 9.30pm fireworks display.

The venue is licenced and there is strictly no BYO alcohol.
