A Grade

A Grade travelled to Tooradin this week and returned home with a fantastic win.

While the scoreboard reflected a strong performance, it was the way the girls conducted themselves throughout the game that was most impressive.

Faced with plenty of distractions and noise from the sidelines, the team remained composed, focused, and full of class from the first whistle to the last.

The girls stuck to their structures, trusted each other, and let their netball do the talking, producing some excellent passages of play across the court.

A complete team performance and another four points on the board.

Well done, girls.

B Grade

Killy Bass knew that this week that they would have a great battle with top of the ladder Tooradin.

And the first half did not disappoint.

From the defensive end through to midcourt and down to the attacking end every player tried their best.

Unfortunately, KB couldn’t come away with the win this time but lots to look forward to as they head into next week.

C Grade

The girls worked on lots at training this week and put a lot of it out on the court against a tough opponent.

Their connections down and into the goal ring are improving and they are creating turnovers in the defensive end but lack consistency for the full four quarters and let Tooradin take away the win.

D Grade

Killy Bass delivered a strong all-round performance against Tooradin on a sunny Saturday morning, with the side showing great improvement across the court.

Their ball movement was a highlight of the game, with sharp passing and excellent teamwork helping move the ball smoothly from defence into attack.

The goalers were outstanding in the ring, shooting accurately, and making the most of their opportunities.

Killy Bass’s defenders also had a big impact, reading the play well and collecting plenty of valuable interceptions to create turnovers.

It was a terrific team effort from Killy Bass, with the players’ hard work and determination on full display from the opening whistle.

While the result didn’t go their way, it was the biggest score of the season so a huge positive heading into next week.

U17

Killy Bass knew going up against Tooradin was going to be tough across the board however the girls went into the game pumped up and decided to just have some fun and learn what they can from a top side.

Killy Bass stayed within five goals at the first break but after that Tooradin put their foot down in the second quarter.

The Bass girls stepped it up in the last half and managed to score 26 goals which was far beyond their expectations.

No one gave up the fight and they came together as a team right until the final siren.

Everyone did their part and it’s exciting to watch when it all comes together.

KB will keep working hard and step by step the results will come.

We will see what the girls bring to the court next week when they take on Inverloch again.

U15

The U15s faced a tough challenge against Tooradin this week, but there were still plenty of positives to take away from the game.

With several positional changes throughout the match, the girls embraced the challenge, worked hard, and continued to support one another right until the final whistle.

While the scoreboard didn't fall the girls way, the effort and attitude shown by the team never wavered.

One of the biggest highlights continues to be the culture this group is building.

The girls genuinely enjoy playing together, support each other on and off the court, and are becoming a wonderfully united team.

Keep smiling, keep learning and keep having fun, girls.

U13

Kilcunda Bass U13 team faced a tough challenge against a strong Tooradin outfit on the weekend.

After a rocky start, the girls showed plenty of character and never stopped competing.

The second half was a much-improved effort, with Killy Bass starting to win more ball on their terms and getting back to the style of netball that has served them well this season.

Rather than reacting to the opposition, the girls began playing with more confidence and purpose, creating some excellent passages of play through the court.

Amber was awarded Best on Court after a determined performance full of grit and effort, battling hard all day and leading by example against strong opposition.

U11

Kilcunda Bass U11 netballers faced a tough challenge against Tooradin.

Despite the result, the Bass players continued to work hard throughout the game and showed great determination against a strong opposition.

Ava Brown was named Best on Court for her outstanding performance.

Ava demonstrated her versatility by playing in different positions, adapting well wherever she was needed and giving her best effort for the team.

Her positive attitude, skill and teamwork were highlights of the match.

The Bass team will take valuable lessons from the game and look forward to next week.
