Midweek bowls results
This week’s winners were Michael Dady, Greg Wood and Graham Woolstencroft. Runners up were Sean McWilliams and Elaine Williams.
On Game winners were Peter McWilliams, Sue Wood, Pauline McWilliams, Wayne Stevenson and Dennis Talbot.
Midweek bowls was played at Lang Lang with 28 happy bowlers on a very warm and humid day.
Still, it did not curb the enthusiasm of our bowlers and good humour could be heard from all rinks and plenty of laughter and the green was running true.
Thank you once again to our member Jimmy Nunan who contributed to the Royal Children’s Hospital fund with his wrong biases.
Twelve ends were played before lunch and as the mercury was rising in the afternoon the organisers decided to cut the last game to ten ends.
This was greatly appreciated, and we all looked forward to a cold drink at the end of the game.
Thanks to Alan for suppling us with a much-needed beverage and a smile and also the members who helped in the kitchen.
As usual there was some high scores and very good bowling.
Thank you to the members who brought in fresh produce for our free raffle table, it was much appreciated.
Next week we will play at Corinella, 10am at venue for a 10.30 start, BYO lunch. Two games of twelve ends.
