Midweek bowls
Midweek bowls is back!
South West Gippsland midweek bowls winners were Michael Dady, Lindsey Russell, Tony Heppleston and Graham Woolstencroft.
Runners up were Bob Glogoski, Graham McKergow, Wilma Brunsden and David Talbot.
One Game winners were David Smith, Laurie Bell, Robyn Coulson and Peter Thorley.
Midweek bowls was played at San Remo for the first time since March 12 with 24 bowlers from all different clubs
It was great to have our bowls family back together again and as usual with a great friendly atmosphere and a new addition of music playing as we bowled.
Plenty of friendly banter the green was fast so it took a little time to adapt and the weather was perfect.
Thank you to our helpers Peter McWilliams, Sean McWilliams and Peter Thorley in the bar, Elaine Fitt in the kitchen and to those members who brought gifts for the free raffle.
Please spread the word that midweek has started again so our numbers return to normal.
Thank you to Charlie Wright for his great work over the years as president, you will be sadly missed Charlie.
Our next midweek game is on January 14 at Corinella, 10am at venue for a 10.30 start, two games of twelve, BYO lunch.
