Mooted plan “written by developers for developers”? — While Bass Coast Shire’s draft Unlocking Rural Tourism Draft Strategy 2022 (BURT) cites this 2019 proposed hotel development at Coronet Bay as a good example of large-scale rural development, the strategy fails to acknowledge it was overturned because of significant local resident opposition.
