Movie club presents Another Round
The Phillip Island Movie Club (PIMC) will be screening a film on Sunday September 18 at St Philip’s Church Hall.
Doors open at 6.15pm for a 7pm start.
This month’s offering is a 2020 Danish film, “Another Round”, directed by Thomas Vinterberg and rated M. It runs for 117 minutes.
A black comedy, the film won an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film in 2021 and a BAFTA Award for Best Film not in English.
The film looks at the relationship between a group of middle-aged teachers that are torn between Danish drinking culture and middle-aged angst. It moves from comedy to tragedy but allows a small glimmer of hope.
To help get in the mood for the film we will be providing Glühwein so please bring a heatproof cup/glass if you would like to indulge. Tea and coffee will also be provided.
Please note that the start time is 7pm not the usual 8pm.
