Newhaven College hosted two Presentation Events celebrating the achievements of students in 2025.
Newhaven College hosted two Presentation Events celebrating the achievements of students in 2025.
The Junior School Celebration Afternoon hosts were 2025 Captains Dallas Latham, Nate Kondarios, Peyton Rhee and Venus Herath Mudiyanselage. The Year 5–11 Presentation Evening was expertly hosted by 2026 College Captains, Harry Arceo, Kadek Humphris, Issy Mahon and Tilly Stecher.
Junior School celebration
Junior School students were presented with a certificate of achievement for completing a year of learning and improvement, along with singing, music and spoken word performances onstage.
Middle and Senior Schools’ presentation evening
The procession of award presentations was interspersed with some stunning musical performances. The Senior Vocal Ensemble performed Your Will Be Found by Benji Pasek and Justin Paul and Senior music students performed Fly Fly Away from Catch Me If You Can, with powerhouse lead vocals by Year 11 student Aoife O’Connell.
In his address, College Principal Mr Tony Corr expressed his admiration for the healthy, positive and outward-looking attitudes shown by College students.
Staff awards
Director of Learning Karen Milkins-Hendry was recognised for 20 years of service – across more than 30 years, for her contribution to College leadership, teaching and learning, theatre, House mentoring and mathematics.
For over 10 years of service, recipients included Junior School teachers Marcelle Krieg, Fiona Smart, Bridget Haines (Librarian), plus Finance Manager Donna Stone, Middle School Teacher Melissa McMillan, and Senior School teachers Anna Paterson and Sharon Paterson.
Student awards
A wide range of awards were presented to recognise outstanding achievement in Academic Studies, Music, Sport, Values, Theatre and Drama, Design, Visual Arts, Technology, and Building and Construction.
Year 11 students Aoife O’Connell and Isabel Mahon were awarded Dux for 2025, along with Aidan Kelly, Dux for Year 10 and Zoe Arnott for Year 9.

• Luke Bolding Memorial Award – Freya Berry (Year 11)
• St Vincent de Paul Society Frederic Ozanam Awards – Charlie Matthews and Sierra Phillips (Year 6)
• The Bendigo Bank Community Mindedness Awards – Hayden Hopkins, Yasmin Gloria, River Hume and Jack Hungerford (Year 9)
• Rotary: Outstanding Community Service Award – Lucy Gojrzewski (Year 5) and Ned Scott (Year 8)
• Reverend John Leaver Award – Isabel Mahon (Year 11)
• Donald Cameron OAM Award – Manning de Gooyer (Year 10)
• Peter Reith AM Memorial Prize – Georgia Sanders (Year 9)
• Duke of Edinburgh Awards – 13 students completed their Bronze Award. Silver was awarded to Jasira Derham (Year 11)
