Newhaven College celebrated Mother's Day through many different events last week.
Celebrations started with the hugely popular Mother's Day stall run by the Parents and Friends Association (PFA), where students purchased lovely gifts for their mums, grandmothers and other special people in their lives. The PFA's Mother's Day Raffle created a buzz as well, the prize being a hamper full of goodies, won by Year 4 student Jennifer O'Connell.
On Friday morning, Junior School students welcomed their mums and special people with a hot coffee and muffin for the College's annual Mums and Muffins visit. Students welcomed their loved ones into their classroom to create some lovely artworks.
After the success of the Newhaven College Mother's Day lunch last year, over 80 mums, grandmas and friends converged on Phillip Island Winery to enjoy a delicious lunch. The atmosphere was one of happy congeniality, celebration and love for the special women in our lives.
The College thanks Phillip Island Winery, the PFA and everyone involved in making this such a special Mother's Day celebration.
